Grand Junction is a hot location to be for summer time activities. From Festivals , Farmers Markets to Concerts and outdoor activities. Grand Junction Summers are full of fun various ways to cool off during those hot summer days. Here are a few of our favorite things to do during the summer months.
Barrelosphy : Barre studio
I love to start my morning with a good workout and Barrelosophy downtown Gj delivers. Barre is a combination of yoga, ballet and pilates moves, located in a boutique studio. Isolation is key to this work out , you feel the burn and accomplished after your work out. They provide a great class and the environment is welcoming and comfortable. Offering different times during the day to get a class in and they also have a quick cardi barre class if a 30 min workout is more your speed.
One of the best parts is its located centrally downtown and you can just walk downtown to kiln coffee bar after class to get a little pick me up.
Stay updated on their social media for different events they offer as well every fall/winter they do a Barre Flowers , Crepes and Tiny Tattoos event. A recent one was Badass Barre Event were they had barre class at a local Ordinary Fellow Winery ,your ticket included a class, and a wine tasting paired with food from the food truck on site, Le Snack. Also a fun hat to decorate with ribbon, feathers & leather. An iced latte from Foci Coffee and a mini facial, massage or brow tint from Naked Asthetics. With some fun add ons from feathers in your hair , Pinque boutique to shop and Henna tattoos. All of these amazing pictures below were taken by Above Alpine Photography.
Kiln Coffee Bar is known not only for their great coffee but their friendly and community oriented environment : So don't miss out on grabbing a nice refreshing coffee or tea in their downtown location. They roast their coffee locally and have lots of great options to help with your brewing needs. If your lucky you might catch Lulu Crepe flinging some goods Fri - Sat 9am-1pm .
If Lulu isn't there to satisfy your crepe needs they also carry baked goods from Sweet Kiwi Bakery a local bakery located in Orchard Mesa Area of town. They provide options of scones, muffins, cookies and more even some gluten free options as well.
