Grand Junction, Colorado is located in the high desert of Western Colorado. Surrounded by different mountain landscapes, Grand Junction, offers that desert vibe without being in the middle of no where. A different location and backdrop is anywhere from a 15 - 45 min drive away. Colorado National Monument is a hidden gem with the dramatic views and red rock back drops. Come take a ride with me through some of our favorite parts of being here in Grand Junction, Colorado.

We Start in Palisade, Colorado...
Grand Junction is centrally located in the Grand Valley, from East to West you start at the base of the Grand Mesa the largest flat top mountain in the world.
Right below is Palisade, Colorado, known for the Peaches and Wine. Palisade offers our very own small town Napa Valley feel with vineyards and orchards surrounding the area with a plethora of local wines and fruit vendors to enjoy.
While we are there we can take a winery tour, whether you want to do that in a horse drawn carriage, bike tour or even drive yourself along the Fruit & Wine by way. Enjoy the local downtown shops and restaurants as well as farmers markets and festivals. Hiking and Mountain biking are a big attraction from Palisade to Fruita their are various locations to get out enjoy nature. Maybe floating the river, paddle boarding or rafting is more your speed. We have rentals and options to keep you safe on the Colorado River.
Now on to Grand Junction
Leaving Palisade we head toward Grand Junction just 19 minutes away. Stop in
Downtown Grand Junction and we can stroll down and see all the local businesses while admiring the art pieces along the way. There are coffee shops, local breweries and restaurants on every block. Downtown has events and markets to entertain year round. Check out the Las Colonias Park they have water sports in the ponds, a lazy river, concerts at the amphitheater, a botanical garden, bike and walking paths and more. There are various hotels and vacation rentals to stay in while you visit. Catch a GJ Rockies game, CMU Football or go play a game of golf at one of many golf courses around town.
Next stop is Fruita, Colorado
Jump in the car and lets head over to the Colorado National Monument to enjoy the views along the rim rock drive stretch. Admiring sheer canyon walls and rock sculptures with the Colorado River and Mt. Garfield along the Bookcliffs in the distance.
We end our drive off of the Monument and into Fruita, Colorado. Fruita is known for a number of fun activities from mountain biking to mike the headless chicken festival ( we know it sounds weird, but it's a fun story). They have great local breweries and restaurants to enjoy. Go hike or bike the trails or check out the Dinosaur Museum with some archeological finds coming from the area. Highline State Park lake isn't far away and a great spot to spend a summer day on the water.
